What: The camp is an intensive English-language experience. Each day is devoted to lessons, lectures, and various other activities including seminars, song and dance, competition, and games. The camp's goals are to increase TU students' interest in and enthusiasm for learning English and to improve their basic English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The camp is for TU students who have just completed their freshmen year at Tsinghua and TU is anticipating about 3,200 students will take part this summer.

Teachers give a lecture every day on topics related to the theme of the week, e.g. music and culture for week one; sports for week two; and hot topics/issues for week three. After the lecture, teachers will conduct three oral practice classes. In the afternoon, teachers are expected to organize the activities. Teachers will give a lecture to 100 students.
